Oui Oui Oui!

Some of the girls almost cried when Tapino's closed. It was so swanky. So cool. So close. So cheap. Just so. We went a lot. Loved the happy hours. Loved the food. The patio seemed so European, even though we were separated from a parking lot by just some thin red drapes. So when we heard that the place closed the only thing that kept us from total meltdown was that the chef was going to try it again, soon, he promised. So this week he opened an adorable French country place in the middle of the big city (well, does Scottsdale really count as a big city?) In honor of our little Maddie's upcoming trip back home to Holland then on to France with her still new hubby, we stopped by Petite Maison (just south of Camelback and Scottsdale Rds). Wow! The food! The wine! The decor (we've already stolen some ideas)! The great service! They let us hog a big table for hours and hours as we contemplated our place in the world - always easier with chocolate creme brulee!
