We're not the most religious bunch, but being surrounded for two nights by Old Wildcat's friends and co-workers, some from way back, hugging me, talking about the old days when little Dickie Segal tromped through Phoenix, even first-hand stories about my grandparents, it was the closest thing to a spiritual experience I've had in a while. The community, the good wishes, the toasts, the sadness as well as the laughter, filled me with warmth and relief to know that Dad touched a lot of people over many, many years and that those memories will keep circling around Susan, Amy, Noah, Shawn, Shana and me.
Amen to that.
Amen to that.
